This 490-song album lasts 2:16:58 and is part 1 of my work-in-progress 1000-song album. The songs range from seemingly unlistenable nonsense to shockingly coherent to highly calibrated technical precision. The songs are separated into 5 different groups: "Introversions (Negative Awareness)", "Unmuted Dreams", "Romantic Abnormalities", "Auditory Hallucinations", and "Introversions (Positive Awareness)". The drums for all groups were freely improvised first-try takes recorded in February 2017. The guitars for all groups except "Introversions (Positive Awareness)" were also freely improvised first-try takes recorded in February 2020. For "Introversions (Positive Awareness)", I deciphered the improvised drums and wrote guitars along to them, I demonstrated this in a video: youtube.com/watch?v=Y3KiYWUGrn0. Each of those songs took 5-60 minutes to decipher the drums, write riffs, and record two decent takes. They were written and recorded between February and April 2020.

Unlike the drums, where I just played a random barrage of blast beats/fills/double bass for every song, each group has its own distinct theme for how I approached the guitars. For "Introversions (Negative Awareness)", there actually was no theme, it was a free-for-all where I could do whatever I wanted. For "Unmuted Dreams", the focus was on using a lot of ringing notes. For "Romantic Abnormalities", I only played notes within a certain scale (401-450 uses one scale, 451-500 uses a second scale). For "Auditory Hallucinations", I played with a delay pedal. And for "Introversions (Positive Awareness)", I composed guitars along to the improvised drums.

For all the groups except "Introversions (Positive Awareness)", each instrument was recorded completely independently and without any influence from each other. While recording, I only listened to the instrument I was playing, plus a count-in and count-out that signaled 16 seconds. Once the instruments were recorded, the songs were arranged completely randomly within their own group. Each song contains one random drum track and two random guitar tracks. This results in completely random and spontaneous music, and the group theme gives it a sense of structure (however small).
