I started by recording a 30-minute nonstop one-try improvised drum take on December 14, then spent 10 minutes writing a loose melody for each guitar and recorded one-try improvised takes for them on December 15, then spent 5 minutes writing a loose melody for the keyboards and recorded a one-try improvised take for them on December 16, then recorded improvised vocal parts in one-try takes on December 17, then finished mixing the song on December 19.
